Helping the Advertising Industry drive growth that’s better for the planet and better for business.

The Ad Net Zero programme was launched as an industry response in the UK in November 2020 by the Advertising Association, ISBA and the IPA, with the goal of helping to reduce the carbon footprint of the advertising industry and supporting the shift towards more sustainable behaviours from businesses and consumers.

These three  trade associations have since been joined by 8 other UK trade bodies, 65 individual UK businesses, and 16 Global businesses supporting the Ad Net Zero programme at a UK level. With participation from organisations, spanning the industry, we’re able to bring together all areas of the advertising supply chain, from media owners to agencies, ad tech to advertisers. The collective commitment for action from this cohort enables us to develop solutions that holistically address the end-to-end impact of advertising. The climate emergency is a global issue, and as a global industry, we need global solutions. Hence, the tools, frameworks and outputs of the UK Ad Net Zero programme have been built upon by other markets where we are represented (US, Australia, New Zealand and across Europe) to develop climate action for the whole industry.
