As one of the world’s largest and most influential advertising markets, Europe is central to global progress of a sustainable advertising industry. This progressive market plays a vital role in reducing the industry’s carbon footprint and accelerating the transition to responsible, low-carbon marketing practices.
Ad Net Zero Europe brings together advertisers, agencies, media owners, ad tech and trade associations from across the continent to accelerate the advertising industry’s transition to net zero.
Launched in 2024, we have been helping to align local initiatives with the global Ad Net Zero framework, ensuring companies and markets take practical steps to reduce emissions across the five-point action plan.
Europe has a unique role to play in this global movement. As one of the most progressive regions for sustainability legislation and industry standards, European markets are at the forefront of developing responsible advertising practices as a response to new EU-wide climate and reporting requirements. From the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requiring companies to disclose their environmental and social impact, to the proposed Green Claims Directive addressing how environmental claims are communicated in the market.
Ad Net Zero Europe is equally committed to supporting local markets, smaller companies and independent businesses. We recognise that every market is different, and that meaningful progress depends on practical tools and shared learning that work at a local level. By connecting European and national efforts, we help ensure that sustainability in advertising is achievable for organisations of all sizes.

Ireland
Established in 2023, Ad Net Zero Ireland supports the Irish advertising industry in its transition to net-zero carbon emissions.
Led by the Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI) and supported by IAB Ireland, the AAI, the Marketing Institute of Ireland (MII), and Commercial Producers Ireland (CPI), the initiative brings the industry together to reduce its environmental impact and promote sustainable advertising practices across all channels.
Turkiye
Launched in May 2025, Ad Net Zero Türkiye is led by REPİD, the country’s leading trade association for advertising and marketing communications.
Through extensive groundwork and industry collaboration, Türkiye is joining a measurable and actionable global movement to cut emissions across the advertising sector.
